On receipt of initial instructions, we can provide a brief opinion on the merits of a case from a reading of the Pleadings and any papers provided. This service is without obligation in relation to future instruction in the relevant case and confined to a brief telephone conversation.

It is often of great importance that good quality and relevant photographs are taken to assist the Trial Judge in considering personal injury and other litigation matters.  We have a wide variety of photographic equipment that enables us to take photographs in difficult situations, that is both traditional and digital, and digital video if required.  These services can be in addition to the undertaking of a full inspection of any process, machinery, building or otherwise.  Charges for this service vary and will be based upon the engineer’s charging rate together with standard charges for photography and video film production.

In many cases we are able to provide an opinion based upon the Pleadings and papers in any personal injury, product failure, professional indemnity, contractual dispute or similar based upon our wide knowledge base within the practice.  The charges for the preparation of an opinion will vary dependent upon the amount of paperwork and the complexity of the relevant case.  Normally opinion charges will vary between about 1 hour and 10 hours at the normal engineer’s charging rate.

If so instructed we are able to undertake a full investigation and reporting service based upon papers provided.  This service can be tailored to consider the relevant health and safety and engineering issues in the case or indeed to consider the particular issues identified in our instructions or by the Court.  If need be our charges can be limited as required by the Court or otherwise will be at the normal hourly charging rate with additional charges for photography and travel.

With a multi-disciplinary group of engineers we are able to turn our expertise to the undertaking of risk assessments in all fields of commerce and industry.  This service can be tailored to the customer to produce credited documentation or indeed bespoke or off-the-shelf database software.  The cost involved in this work will depend upon the complexity and extent of the work involved and will be by quotation on request.

We are multi-disciplinary    engineers and we are able to advise clients on any specific health and safety matter.  We can provide chapter and verse on legal requirements and best practice in relation to health and safety requirements throughout commerce and industry.  This service will be charged according to time and complexity, for which quotations will be provided on request.
